That worked perfectly! Thanks for the advice.

I believe it still might be a bit small for a 2WT setup but may hold onto it for only a $11 investment. Perhaps some day I will build a 1WT rod to play with.


Try this, get a double taper line and cut it in 2 pcs. 45' of line should fit on that reel. You don't need 90' fly line on small streams. I have a Teton reel that is 2.75 diameter and it works great on my 7’ 3 wt glass rod.
