I'm headed to Visalia in a week and may have a day to fish. This puts me near the Kings, Kaweah, Tule, etc. Anyone been out there lately and feel like sharing? I'm mainly interested in flows, but if you have any more info that'd be appreciated as well.

THanks.

I would assume that runoff is in full bloom on all the major watersheds. Your best bet is exploring some creeks. Watch out for the snakes... they are out. I was a few feet from a nice big rattler last time I was out.

I am assuming the same thing, that it's a bad time of the year due to high flows from runoff, but when you gotta fish, you gotta fish. There's a small trib or two on the Kaweah that I had in mind . . .

I think you'll do ok up there. Sure they'll all be running high, but you shouldn't have a too tough of a time on the smaller tribs.

Ok, I'll try this again. The last time I looked, the lower Kings was at 800. Should be good. Is everybody still afraid to make a report? That's stupid, idiots. All of you........ :deadhorse: 09

I have never fished the Tule, and have only fished sections of the Kings and Kaweah in Sequoia NP. I'd love to make a report, but I can't help you. Sometimes, people don't post reports because they don't have one.

by lower kings do you mean below the dam? I don't really have a strong desire to fish that stretch. If you mean above the reservoir, then that's a different matter.

last night i checked and the inflow to pine flat was showing as running between 5500 and 8500 cfs. in other words, you could not pay me enough to fish above the lake right now.
