Was the road paralleling the Lower O muddy and snowy, or were you up at the upper O when you encountered the mud? I only have a 2 wheel drive and was planning a trip, just didn't want to plan on getting stuck. How was the road to the PVR campground? I wasn't sure how soggy the lower O access was this time of year.

Thanks,

John

Thanks to everyone for the kind comments. You probably have noticed that I post when I get a few minutes between chores getting ready for the coming snow storm. I like the ability to still be able to edit a post a few days after originating it.

It was really an enjoyable weekend and it was a pleasure to be able to meet so many folks that I have read about over the years and to see those old friends once again. It was good to see Darrin and Matt....you never change. Your enthusiasm and warmth make being around you two a real pleasure.

I'll keep posting and try to get it done tonight.
Jim

John,

The road along the LO is fine for 2 wheel drive unless it is snowing. The spur roads to the river are a different story if it just rained or snowed, lots of mud. Best to park on the main road and walk in.

Mark

Jim, just as I was begining to forget about missing this trip you post this beautiful report to remind me of all I missed out on. Great pics, those snow covered mountains sure are beautiful. Sounds like you're fly flicking skills are really improving. But that should be a never ending process anyways.

Thanks to all for the comments. Just a few more and I will complete this effort. Mike, I think I am slowly improving to the point that I seldom get frustrated at my lack of fish catching.
Slow and steady. I cannot tell you how much I do enjoy my time on the water and with good friends. What a remarkable journey it has been.

Ahhhh! That's it, Jim. Leave the cliffhanger in there on the penultimate post. Oh the suspense. A PB? What?! On what? A dry fly? Sweet. :D

Man, I can't wait to hear what happens next… For reals though. :D

Jim,

thanks for the pict and story. You guys are so lucky you can fish all year long :D . Looks like you have incredible time up there again. Jim I always like to read your story, because its not just the story, but you can put it some differant way, they are very nice every time.

I hope we will have change to fish together some day in some place.

Your friend Zee
