It's a few days late but here we go again fellas...
Photo Contest January-February 2012

Here are the rules

1.Photographs must have been taken during the months of January ~ February 2012 This will be on a honor system so play fair, anyone not playing fair will be wished into the corn field by that little boy on the Twilight Zone!
2.Photographs must relate to fly fishing in one way or another, a place, person, fish, gear, flies, insects, you get the picture, please don't be afraid to think outside the box.
3.Photographs that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (removal of dust, cropping, reasonable adjustments to exposure, color and contrast, etc.) will be disqualified.
4.No HDR (High Dynamic Range) allowed.
5.Stitched panoramas creating one photo will be allowed.
6.One photo per contestant, you may submit a different photo before the deadline is up.
7.Contest ends Wednesday @ 11:59 pm February 29, 2012
8.All forum members are welcomed to submit a photo, even admin and mods and newbies.

The winner will receive a GREYS GS Fly Box. Please don't be shy, submit your photos, participation is key for these photo contest to work. Go out have fun fishing, and don't forget the camera. Good luck to you all.

Thanks guys! It's not perfect, but I was super stoked on it when I saw how it come out. It was one of those reverse point and snaps that just kind of worked.

I'm calling this one catch and release ... please! It's a good thing it's a leap year; that means I still have 49 days to take a better picture. :D Meanwhile, anyone know what these critters are that were covering the fins and bodies of some of the LO fish I caught today?

Here's my first attempt. Second day fishing for the year and was watching my friend Scott fish as the sun descended down river.

How do you tie the fly to your hooks without killing them with the thread? I keep cutting them in half.
