Merry Christmas to you too, Charles. It was 26 degrees last I checked….not bad compared to earlier in the week.

Good tidings,

Jeff

Merry Christmas! I was actually able to slog out a 5 mile run in shorts today. We just missed the edge of the polar plunge by about 30 miles, and enjoyed temps in the low 50’s today.

Enjoy the warmth. We actually love having four real seasons and much prefer having snow instead of rain. This year our local snowpack is at 145% of normal to date, so our rivers, streams and lakes should rebound from last year’s semi-drought.

Grab your two-weight and go catch some more of those local gems!

Best regards,

Jeff

Yea I was just telling the family on my last work trip to Salt Lake City it was very cool to have all the snow and Christmas lights, it really added to the holiday season. I do kinda wish we had more seasonal weather here but it is what it is.

That’s awesome about your snow pack I’ll be curious to see where you end up. I have been fishing Southern Utah a lot over the last few years and they got hit pretty hard and had to drain several reservoirs that had some amazing fish, a big die off in a few of them. Hopefully the west gets hammered with snow this season.

I did grab the 000wt today and headed up to the creek. I wanted to explore more but it was a total zoo, no parking for a least a half mile in any direction. I decided I didn’t even want to try to hike through the crowds or deal with any fish questions so I decided to just turn around and try another day, maybe Wednesday I’ll go back and see.
