Hail in Riverside (a flybob inspired post)

Postby rayfound » February 9th, 2009, 3:27 pm

The 2nd wave of hail blew through here, and taking inspiration from the honorable flybob, I grabbed my micrometer and went outside. Just over 35 thousandths of an inch for a freshly fallen dollop. :)

Oh, and I managed to lock myself out of the office in the process. :x

Pretty large hail for down the hill. I've never used my micrometer for hail, but hey, at least you know the size EXACTLY.

That must have been a funny sight to see; someone standing outside in a hailstorm with a micrometer in their hand pounding on the door to be let back in  . Nice-sized hail! Jon
