Ever see a net like this?

If you click the link,(and scroll down a little) there is a net style I have never seen before. I'm trying to figure out how I would use it!

That's a boomerang net. Very popular with the Aussies.

Yes actually. I saw them years ago on some Japanese websites on trout fishing in Japan. Minus the finger hole thingie.
I love the sweeping curves of them, but can't imagine them being handy except on small creeks.

Thanks Darrin, those are some good links. I actually like the design... it seems there would be a learning curve to using one.

If I'm not mistaken Greg does offer nets with offset handles.
