Today we laid two hen eggs so things have slowed down at this particular stretch of beach. I had one decent grab on a very marginal setup but no conversion.

Monday by far was the best day and each day it's been a little tougher with the fatter tides. Today the fish were the least aggressive.
Also we had another drop in water Temp. This weeks best temps were at the start of the week.

Today we had a few fish to throw at but they weren't moving too far up the beach. With the sun out we could finally see some pigs roaming around but they were in deeper water a lot of the times.

Of course tomorrow is another day :D

Unfortunately today we ran into some trouble with a non fisherman who threatened us as we were leaving the beach.

Everyone should watch their back...

He said he would snap us like a 3 wt rod rolled up in a car window.

I got a pic of the guy so be on the look out. He has a weird birth mark on his face so he is easy to spot. jon

Thanks for the re-cap

That made me chuckle. I noticed the same trend, Jon. Today looks pretty good, but I had coffee with the guys instead of fishing. The usual spots looked good up here though. The dolphins and birds are tearing up the water across the street as I type this. Might be kayak time again.

I just got a report from off the water (literally) and today not a single fish was spotted in the skinny.
I slept in today and it looks like the right call for this particular beach. jon

I only saw one bean yesterday, and it spooked as soon as it saw me. There must be good bait in the water just beyond the surfline. If the water would ever reach summer temps I think the calico fishing would get good.

I saw one bean on Tuesday and one today. Nothing in pods. I think they'll start to show up more in numbers as August hits.

The wind has been terrible lately.
