Re: Really Great bug book?

Steve, You probably already know this anyway, but it might be useful for others on this forum. Get a dip net, thermometer, and a pocket notebook to use while on the water. Use them several times a day and keep track of what you observe in a notebook, a camera also comes in handy for future reference...

Re: Really Great bug book?

I use to try and figure out what fly to use that would match what bugs are in the water. I carried 4 or more fly boxes but It seems like I never had the right fly and that was why I didn’t catch many fish. Now I just carry and use a couple of simple flies that always seem to work wherever I fi...

Re: Wigged out... (a vent session)

Hah, good stuff to think about while on the water in a rubber boat. I sold mine years ago, but for different reasons, I get cramps in my left hamstring. It hurts like * and there is no way to stretch it out or make it stop. It is also sucks because when you can only use one leg to propel yourself al...

Re: Our New travel trailer

Mike,
Good to hear you made the move. We are heading to Kansas next month to spend a week and look around. I rented a home near downtown Boise and the greenbelt. I hope to see you and Jeff while I'm there.

I have both chest high and pant waders and will always grab the pant waders 1st. They are much more comfortable to wear, cooler and faster to pull down when you have to take care of business, but zippers might make that last point moot. I also like them because they force me not to go into to places...

Re: Dream home in Kansas

Very nice. I also found one for $125,000 right in Nyisa that I could live in very nicely with no room for all the "stuff" I have now....which is a plus. Looks like farm country. Jim, Can you fly a plane? If you can't you can still stash all your stuff here. http://www.zillow.com/homes/103...
