John, when I got checked on the LO last winter they only checked the flies I was fishing, the ones on my line. Barbed flies are not illegal to own, just illegal to fish in certain places.

BB, the curlyQ tippet on the left was pulled out through the grommet in the elastic, the straight tippet on the right is what I get when I remove the elastic and just take the line off the spool. I used some 6x flouro for the first time recently, and caught a bucket of fish so now I really like flouro.
