Re: 2wt vs 3wt: Is there a difference???

I got a Redington Classic Trout, 3wt, 7 1/2 foot a few years ago. It's awesome, value priced, and everyone that's tried it loves it. Why spend the big bucks? It's almost effortless to cast. John x2. I got the Redington 2 wt, it was on sale for like $80 or $90. Paired it with a <$15 plastic reel fro...

Re: FUNemployment

Epic! Although that word does not even begin to do justice... I worked for a summer from Pocatello up the 15 through Idaho Falls then up the 20 through Ashton almost to the Targhee National Forest. The view from just about every turn in any road there is a calendar cover photo. Henry's Fork, The Fal...

Re: 2wt vs 3wt: Is there a difference???

Not much to add except there are plenty of perfectly good rod blanks out there that cost 1/10, or less, of the $400 blanks you were looking at.

Roger ebay is a good starting place, I've built 3 rods from his blanks and his 10' 2 wt has caught me more trout than any other rod I own...

Re: Kern River Website?? Down forever?

Re: Poison Oak?

PO does not take the winter off, it is poisonous all year round.

I keep an eye open for red leaves and stay far away from them, red leaves are very obvious and are almost always PO.

Sorry you got hit!

Re: This Is Fly Mag.

The cover photo is truly amazing, as is the rest of the photography! Is there any way to size the magazine to my computer screen? I have a wide screen, but the magazine is even wider, and it's somewhat awkward to have to keep toggling the bottom slider back and forth to see the right and left edges ...
