I have never had a problem with the braided loop connectors. Never had one hang up in the guides, or pull off. That being said on really small rods you can put on an over size tip top. I used one on my Midge-A-Boo and just messing with it, the loop to loop connector goes thru like a hot knife thru b...

Ok, looking at the results of all the polls you posted it looks like everything is in place for you to build one bad a-- looking rod. I am really excited to see how it comes out. Now work your fingers to the bone and "Git her done", no sleep for you .

You can't even buy the components to build one for that price . They must have a sweat shop make them and get about $.5 profit. How do they do that? Maybe prison labor.
