Re: First Catch of the YEAR! or, I can't believe I did it again!

Appropriate sacrifice to the trout gods. They are pleased with your offer of blood and will reward you with great things in 2010. Seriously, though, that pic was nasty! I was explaining to my son why I never wanted him casting w/o eye protection. He can figure out why now.

Re: CA DFG New Reg's

That was something that Steve Mrrz and his wife, April, pushed through. I think United Anglers was backing it as well.

That whole mag is pure, unadulterated, fish *. Just incredible images. Thanks for the heads up and it's now on my 'favorites' list.

It's Snowing

At 5900' in the local hills, 2 inches of wet snow at 6:00am and coming down hard. Made for a crazy drive to work, but the creeks will love it.

Re: Fly Fishing The Seasons

Summer time means tuna time! Yellowfin, bluefin, and the occasional dorado and yellowtail holding on kelp paddies. That's when the 30-50# rods and Avet reels come out to play on our multi-day excursions.

Re: Whether or Not the Local Creeks will Weather the Weather

Considering it was probably man, via arson or carelessness, that started the fires.....
