Mike, This has been a weird series of storms. As Jon mentioned, we ended up with a couple of inches of snow in Ridgecrest, but my in-laws in Tehachapi (at 4500') didn't get any snow and very little rain. Glad to see your contest generate a lot of interest and discussion. Thanks, and let it snow, Brad
I go strictly with waterproof boxes, after a few swimming lessons on the Kern. I like the smaller new SA or Flambeau (blue ribbon) boxes that will easily fit in my vest. They hold a boat load of flies as well.
Yep, I think we have all of it here in Ridgecrest Although, it seems to come and go. It was really dark here during the late afternoon. Hope you guys are safe, it looks to be a nasty one.
There is no umpires on the water... only a man and a fly rod.... and no fish! I'm going to have to help the prosecution out. :deadhorse: :deadhorse: :deadhorse: Let's introduce another scenario; In golf, if a player attempts to hit his/her ball and completely misses he/she is still charged a stroke...

Jon, I can attest that the Trinity Richard has is a nice looking float tube. I especially like the stripping basket. Being frugal, I found an ODC 420 float tube for just over $100 on Ebay. I've seen them normally discounted for $149. They're very similar to the Fish Cat with the "V" config...
Jon, Glad to see the float tubes. That last picture of the valve, looks like a standard Schrader (sp?) valve like a bike. If you get your tubes in shape, you need to hit Isabella for crappie. PM me if you need directions to our secret spot . You and the kids would have a blast. Brad
Dave, Too cool. The calf looks like its less than a day old. Sorry to hear about the bear. I'm always on edge driving around there at night. That whole place comes alive at night.
Allen, Although I've never spent time on the river with David, I've been the benefit of his knowledge from the time I have spent of the water with you. You've always been willing to share his knowledge (okay, probably not all of his secrets :o ) and tidbits on how find the fish. I owe most of my suc...
