Re: Alternative for Air Bed while car camping?

Take a look at the Big Agnes system with the insulated air core pad.

The pad is inserted into a sleeve in the bootom of the bag. No rolling off and the pad works well for me. I'm a side sleeper at times too.

Re: Three For One.....

Great read Jim.

Bob Banfield was certainly a fixture in the Inland Empire news.

Sorry for the loss of your friend.

Re: Lanyard Question

Tom, I have a May Fly lanyard and I like it a lot. I too have gone from vest, to waste pack, and now to lanyard. I wear a fishing shirt with pockets and that's where all of my extras go (fly boxes, tippet, floatant, etc.) And I wear a day pack for all my other stuff....water, lunch, jacket, etc. It ...

Re: Hiking/Wading Boot Question

I have the Simms Headwaters with the Vibram sole and I don't think twice about hiking in them.

Hike in, fish, hike out wet.....no issues.

But also, these are relatively short hikes. I don't know if I would want to hike out, a long distance, when wet. But dry....no problem.

Re: Kern Campground Questions?

Curtis, Many of us have stayed at MRA (Mountain River Adventures) in the past for the SSFFC Rendevous. It's not cheap, but I think that keeps the riff-raff out. It also has showers and toilets and it seems to be kept pretty clean. There's not much shade but during the day you're not in camp that muc...

Re: 2nd annual Fly Addicts BBQ and Casting Games

It's looking like I may be able to make this with my family.

Trying to decide what to bring. Is there a more complete list of who is bringing what other than what has already been posted?

If not, I'll figure somthing out.

Is there any way to change the color of the lettering of this part? Board index ‹ LOCATIONS/REPORTS ‹ General Fly Fishing That makes it a little hard to read for me. Almost can't read it at all.
