Re: SID SIX - Hope you like it.

Aaron,
Awesome. You hit most of my passions in one edition. Just got back from -35 Minnesota chasing walleye's.

Re: Polypropylene Thermals (best brand???)

There's a host of awesome thermal underwear styles on the market. I personally like the waffle style thermals for warmth and with silver impregnated thread to prevent body odor. Cabela's have a huge selection. It really helps when you're in the thermals all day in your waders or out hunting in the b...

Re: Vision problems while fishing

I've tried the clip on's and really got tired of them. I finally settled on Smith's readers sunglasses. I went with the brown tint because of low light conditions. They're exceptional polarized glasses and give the magnification you need. I still need to put the clip-on's on at dusk. So far, I find ...

Re: Thinking about a new 5wt

Gary,
I have a Vapor 5 wt. and for the price you can't beat it. I find it very similar to the other Winston's with a little softer tip. Although, I would still classify it as fast action. I've used it a lot for nymphing.

Re: Would you sell a second?

I agree with the majority here. Don't sell something you're not comfortable with. Go with Stanberry's recommendation and use it as a loaner.

You know my thoughts on the traditional issue. STAY OLD SCHOOL!!!!

Re: Slower action rods?

I love the thought of slow action rods. I can really feel the way they load up and cast with realitive ease. I just picked up an old enwick HMG blank that I hope to put together in the next couple of weeks. It should be really sllllllloooooowwwwww compared to the new graphites.

Re: Watch Your Step

Dave,
Have any experience with bad falls? :o :o :o Its always good to reinforce good safety practices, especially when you're off the beaten path and near water. Hope all is well in the Rockies and you're keeping warm (except when chasing big browns in the Yampa).
Thanks for the reminder,
