I'll second the support for Rayban Predators, super light and comfortable, although they can be a bit dark if not in direct sunlight. I picked up several other inexpensive pairs of polarized sunglasses in various lighter tints, and some as well with generic near-sighted lenses molded into the bottom...

Also, the videos I've seen of the UO are mostly of really big fish, over 20," although of course there are many smaller ones too.

Are standard trouty 5wt rods enough, or are heavier-weight rods often used?

Hi all, I was planning on driving up to the Upper Owens the Saturday afternoon, and fishing it for the first time on Sunday, but the weather report calls for rain on and off through Saturday.

Would you expect the fishing be lame because of the rain?
