Sheriff's will be Enforcing Adventure Pass

I was down in the lower reaches of my home water (skunked and high flows) when I ran across an SBCo Deputy in a 4X4. Asked if I had an Adventure Pass and told him no. He told me they had received federal grant money to start enforcing the program and were going to be getting out in 4x4's and quads. ...

Re: I'm off to the big show

Keep yourself and your buddies out of sh*t. Maintain your humor. And post some pics and stories. I'm sure it would be the most read and commented upon threads in the forum. Stay safe,

Re: Show Follow up

Thanks to your shop for supporting, though I did miss seeing Dean there on Saturday (had a copperplate etching of a petroglyph for him). I can't imagine that Fred Hall charges anymore for vendors than the Flyshow, but the industry rolls out for that event en mass. I know we don't have any Shimano's...

Re: Did you attend the Pasadena FF show today?

Yo Ryan! It was worth it to meet some folks and put faces to names (who knew Tom Sakai's real name was Tom Sakai based on his screen name? ). The seminars were pretty good as well. The exhibition was pretty sparse. Frankly, I was bummed the manufacturers decided not to make a showing. I think ...

My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it. ~Koos Brandt

I saw this on a New Hampshire Flyfishing site and thought "No kidding!"

Perhaps President Obama should follow in President Hoover's footsteps.

Snowing in the Local Mts

There was sun in DC this morning, but now the storm has arrived! Snowing heavy in Arrowhead with about 3" on the ground. How is it over in Running Springs, Midger?

Re: Critique My site also

Listen to me...all this advice coming from a guy who has basically butchered a web site with crummy pictures and too much text . Pete Pete, Give yourself more credit than that. Web building and marketing are very unique skills. And everyone has an opinion. As a thought, I bet there's a serious...

Re: Fred Hall vs Pasadena FF Show

They had a great Manzanar exhibit one year... I'll scope out what they have today and fill you in if there's anything worth seeing. BTW, Did he eat the heart? The Manzanar exhibit was last year. Humbling and inspiring. And, * yeah he ate the heart! And finally--- if he maintains at least a 3.0 GPA ...

Re: Fred Hall vs Pasadena FF Show

Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably go to Pasadena and soak in the vibe at the FF show. While I love offshore angling, I've already booked my long range Mexico trips for the summer (which is usually what I do at FH) and don't feel like dealing with the crowds. I've kinda gotten turned off by the ...
