Re: Comedy of Errors, Part 3

" I checked out a rather HOT brunette that came in and did some wash. Half-heartedly made some small talk, but it wasn’t going to go anywhere. It probably didn’t help that I’m 41 and she might have been 30 on the high end. " Probably because you were with your Mom and kid  Can't wait ...

I have the Helium and love it. It is warm and light. Someone should jump on it.

Re: Alternative for Air Bed while car camping?

Get one of the Exped pads. My wife sleeps cold so I got her a Downmat 9. I have a Synmat UL7. I'm a side sleeper too. The trick is not over fill them. Mine rolls up the size of a 1 liter nalgene bottle and weighs 16oz. Just under 3" thick inflated. Retire the thermarest

Re: Pure Bliss

Our lab,Shawna, loves ice cream. She shares mine usually. But she's a pig and takes big bites. Mono Cone in LeeVining has a dog scoop that they put in a paper bowl. Shawna scarfs hers then wants to share mine. :D

Re: Super Model

Here you go; On July 5, 1946, French designer Louis Reard unveils a daring two-piece swimsuit at the Piscine Molitor, a popular swimming pool in Paris. Parisian showgirl Micheline Bernardini modeled the new fashion, which Reard dubbed "bikini," inspired by a news-making U.S. atomic test th...

Re: Watch Out

My Lab gets her rattlesnake vacinations and has had the aversion class. I have not had the need to "test" it yet. I have seen her jump back like she was stung from some holes after sniffing them. The other day we were hiking out from fishing a local creek and I saw the unmistakable movemen...

Re: Could the ANF and SBNF be next?

I think the pass is a waste. They are real proud of the bear proof trash cans they placed on the bike path up here. I have been up here 33 years and never knew we had a problem. Some are across the street from the elementry school. Some others are across the street from their high priced campground....

Re: Backpacking Stoves

Our last trip this year in Oct. I was able to steam bake biscuits and gravy, chicken and dumplings and cake deserts. I actually carry it in my daypack everywhere. Makes a great streamside or tailgate lunch in the field. I think you need an outside opinion of how well this food turns out. Please let...

Re: Backpacking Stoves

I like the idea of alcohol stoves but I can't get around their heating time. I need my coffee in the am and don't want to wait 20 min for the water to boil plus if you aren'i alone it takes that much longer. If you want a bomb proof, reliable, all weather, all temperature, good heat range stove I vot...
