The only time I didn't carry a net this year I was fishing a small local creek. I caught a larger size fish; wish I had been able to measure it with my net and take a proper picture (the darn fish wouldn't stay still in my hand).
Boy, all these technical upgrades. Here I am still contemplating starting to tie my own flies and I'm confronted with furled leaders! I guess I have a lot to learn.
Jon, thanks very much for pointing out that article. It's a great read!!! By the way, Landon Meyer, one of the authors featured in the magazine, is probably the best guide for spotting fish that I've ever met. My son and I had two great days with him last July on the South Platte.
