Looking for Intel on fishing Laughlin

Drive to Sedona there are a few trout there. Or at least there used to be. I used to catch stripers years ago at Lake Mojave

Wading Staffs

I picked up a wading staff for use on Kern it has saved me a few times. On a side note I did slip on a piece of ice on a boulder on the Kern during the winter walking down from the road and broke my fall by landing on my Sierra net which is now in two pieces and need to send back to Greg to see what...

Paso Robles flyfishing areas??

Gonna be hot as *, Sean. Lake Nacimento is the closest water and that'll be bass. Just hit the vineyards and be happy. Oh, and PR Brewing on the town square is pretty good, too. I would stay away from Nacimiento, it is at around 21% capacity! I always like fishing the white bass at Bee Rock Cove, t...

Paso Robles flyfishing areas??

I think you have it head north towards Big Sur area or head east to either Kern or maybe Kings Canyon or Sequoia. Maybe other locals will know of other areas. Good luck

Knot Video--Davy Knot

I have had better luck with double davy. Dave Wotton has long been involved in competitive fly fishing for the UK and US and has guided many years on White River and has used that knot for a long time . I have only found the knot not hold up if the tag end is not in the right spot.

local chrome

The article makes me think is stories I heard from my grand father in the 30's catching steelhead in different creeks and sometimes in the LA river. I spent time in the 80's looking for chrome on some of his old haunts and caught a few in and around Malibu and Ventura county. Would be nice to see th...

There's something you don't.......

The best part is not the reel it is the shirtless man holding the reel. That is what you are paying for!

Is the Site Slowing Down?

I need more rain and then I will think about going fishing, working on a bamboo rod with Dray has been as close to fishing as I have had in a while. Plus my last time fishing on Kern was not a great outing in terms of fish caught.

Weight REEL Shootout

I didn't see any Hardy Marquis 1s on the list!!! I wonder how the Abel Spey and Switch reels would have performed. I wish I could afford some of the top end reels. MB I fished with a bamboo spey builder in Vancouver with old Hardy Perfects and Marquis reels, he seemed to do a heck of a job bringing...
