Therefore you're best bet is to fish water that is either shallow or has great visibility. Watch them feed. Lead yo...

Managed Only a Handful at Local.

eHEw3oQHL28 Fished a local a few weeks ago and found the water way too sandy. All the good looking holes were plugged up with sandy and had to look at alternative spots for willing fish. Tough day. My buddy got the skunk. I managed to land only five. Lost one and missed another. I had to really wor...

Re: Is it Worth It?

Fished a local just after New Years. Fishing was subpar but the "company" was good. Water was running fast and unlike the past two years when I could regularly get a 12 inchers or two this time only dinks and micordinks were taking. Not sure if it was because the "big" fish were ...

Re: Ultralight Wader Recommendations Please

I love seeing an older thread survive. Thank you for the comments. Every now and then I splurge on something but pulling the trigger on those Patagonias is hard! I know they ROCK and Patagonia is very good about customer/product support. Hmmmm ... Lol. I didn't realize this was a three year old thr...

Re: Ultralight Wader Recommendations Please

I have a pair of Patagonia Middle Fork waders for those nonfishing specific travel, backpacking and summer mornings when you don't want to get wet wet wading. Wore them this week in Colorado a couple times. I don't know how long they'll last but this arent my primary waders and only for the tasks me...

Re: Easy-Access Yellowstone

Planning on the fishing NE corner, but I'll be entering from the south, so not sure how best to access that area. It looks like a heck of a drive from the South Entrance to the Lamar River area... John Prepare for a long drive. A long slow drive. Add a time cushion for "local traffic" (bu...

Re: Critter Spotting

I can't speak for recent times but even at full traffic mode I've run face to face with a Black Bear on the WF, Rams in another part of the San Gabes, deer in San Berns, another Black Bear 4x4ing into a creek with a similar name and multiple small game everywhere else. Jeff I don't think the Trinity...
