Re: Great Times at the BBQ, Potluck, and Casting Games

Luc I hate to say it but this was a "can't miss" event. Hope you can make it in the future (assuming the organizers have enough energy left to organize again).

Re: Fun at the BBQ, Potluck and Casting Games....

I totally agree. I got there at noon, stayed to the end, and wished that I had been there at the very beginning. It was great seeing old friends, meeting friends in person that I had only met on the board, and meeting new friends that I had never corresponded with. Many thanks to Mark, Larry and all...

Mark, I will be bringing something as well. Vegetables or salad? Also, I volunteer myself for name tags! I'm sure many of us have not met.

Re: SB Sun Article this AM

I can walk out from the furthest man made obstruction in that area in less then half a day and I'm old, short and carry way too much weight. I suspect that they just went ahead and kept fishing until what snacks they brought ran out. Hey, you're the same age as me and taller than me. So, what am I,...

Talked to the wife and Curtis, that's about what they have in RS as well, and our dog won't go out, shoveled spot or not. He does come out when she's shoveling the front though, so that will have to suffice.

Wow, you have your wife well trained! Can't say the same for your dog.....

Re: Fly Fishing Show in Pasadena

Just got back from the show. Much improved over last year. I actually would have spent more time there but my friend wasn't interested in spending 1/2 hour on each booth offering fly tying materials. Imagine that! Got to see Andre again as well as meet Bernard and MEB. Didn't get a chance to meet De...

Re: Fly Fishing Show in Pasadena

I will be there on Saturday morning; if anyone wants to get lunch (will be leaving by early afternoon) let me know by pm. I haven't looked at the seminar schedule yet as far as what I want to see.

Re: The Manzanar Fishing Club

From what I understand, the film makers are planning on being at the Fred Hall Fishing Show this year. If you see them there, check out their display and chat with them, they're good people.... Thanks. I will look specifically for their display; I have always been interested in the Manzanar story (...

Re: C&R Mortality

Very good article. Maybe us C&R fishermen aren't as innocent as we think (as far as impacting the fishery).

LA Times Promotion for The Spot

I opened the LA Times today and what did I see on the front page of the local section but a promotion for 1/2 price casting lessons at The Spot ($25 promotional price)! Wish I was closer to either take advantage or have a buddy take advantage of the offer. Hope they get some new business from it.
