Re: Question about my new $10 Tenkara Rod?

John, Glad to hear. I also just picked up a Tenkara and plan to bring it up the opener. I'm just a beginner with the rod but might help you out in a few areas. First, I don't think you want to use the 3wt line. I purchased a couple of light furled leaders about 1 1/2 times the length of the rod. The...

Re: Marmot EOS 1p at Campsaver.com

Hey John, That's an excellent tent...and much better than my tarp ;) . I always like a good tent for the added security from the elements. Especially in the Sierra's with the weather unpredictable at times. I just picked up a new Nemo 2p Blaze for less than 60% off on Ebay and looking forward to giv...

Re: Passing of Westlake Dave

Brandt,
So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I know how close you were to him. I always enjoyed his presence and humor on our outings together and appreciate having spent time with you and him. He'll always have a special place in our memories.

Re: The Big FIVE-OH...

Curtis, At first I thought you were a fellow Buckeye fan. You know OH-IO! Okay, okay.....bad Sounds like a good reason to haul the travel trailer north. Count me in. I'll try to figure out something to appease the most discerning pallets of this group. Although, I'm a pretty basic chef. I'm thinking...

Re: Can you believe it?

It's been raining in the desert since 4:00. :bananadance: The wild flowers will be out in force this year. The eastern sierras should be getting their share.

Re: Simms wader problems

That's interesting. I have a very similar problem with my g3's. Haven't sent them back yet, but plan to. My problem has been the upper part of the waders, but covers a wide area. I'll let you know what they say.

Sad day for our Fly Fishing Community

Just wanted to pass on on some very sad news. Chuck Newmyer passed away this week. Chuck was the founding member of Aguabonita' Flyfishers in Ridgecrest. He was a very caring, generous man that devoted himself to Flyfishing and all the things associated with it. Here's an article from the local pape...
