While fishing out of boats, kickboats or float tubes, I always have two rods rigged up. I love the flexibility of having different flies (dries, nymphs or streamers) and different lines (floating or sinking) ready to go at a moments notice. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years, Ariel. You've got some great goals already set for next year. Fishing new waters is always a fun challenge. May I suggest that you look southward towards San Diego Bay and even the Baja area. Lots of hard pulling fish swimming around in saltwater not too far away...

They deserve the utmost of respect. The more you chase carp the more you will come away with the perspective that they are among the hardest freshwater fish to catch and, if hooked, the hardest pulling fish swimming in freshwater.
