Re: Miss Nona

I have to say that this is one of my favorite builds of all time! The fact that this tree was as old and storied as it was and such an integral part of the family history made for a very humbling build. My goal was to my goal was to give this build the respect it deserved. I added in a few complemen...

Re: How Do You Keep Your Flies Organized?

Organization is way overrated. http://i.imgur.com/wdm4O4pl.jpg HIL-AR-I-OUS!!! :LOLO: This is me after every trip! LOL! I have a number of boxes and it does seem daunting sometimes. I fish for everything so I have to have certain boxes. And that generally works for me (Even tho I typically take ext...

The Fly Fishing Journal Part 2

Our very own Katsfood wrote a seven page article and supplied the photography for the recent issue. The article is about carping and restoring the LA River near downtown LA. I had the pleasure of tagging along with him on a few of the outings from which he wrote the article, and was pleasantly surpr...

Re: The Fly Fish Journal

I used to dig up redworms from my backyard and go out there and catch tilapia till the cholos came home. LMAO, Till the cholos come home. I miss catching Tilapia at the LA river in the late 80's, I have not seen any them since I have been fishing there in the last year. Nothing like drift...

Sooooo, when exactly will we get to see the new lift? I mean, it only makes sense to get the lift before the skid plates right?

Re: Trip coming up

The provo has big fish but is pretty packed and the bigguns are learned. I like the smaller and less packed Weber River around the town of Wanship. Lotsa browns 12-18" on dries and/or nymphs
