Re: America's First National Park

Chris here’s a series of shorter itineraries that I found last week. Thinking about a short trip end of September.

Re: Looking for a New #3wt

Check out the Washington Fly Fishing board. Has an excellent classifieds section. Also there is a very active group on Facebook.

Re: State considering "putting a halt to fishing"

I agree with Curtis. The situation in Inyo and Mono counties is dire enough that they have closed all hotels, short term rentals, and public campgrounds in addition to the dining in restaurant closures that we’re experiencing. If the opener were to proceed where would people stay? I fear that many (...

Re: Tanuki Tenkara and general tenkara comments

I’m not using my Tenkara rod nearly as much as I used to but it does have it’s advantages. I remember a late afternoon several years ago when Wildman and I came across a hatch with fish coming out of the water to chase bwo’s. Both Jim and I had direct contact rods BUT I was carrying a T rod in a hol...

Re: Self Inflating PFD

JD this is a forum for friends to talk about fly fishing. Please behave appropriately. There’s no need to insult others just because you disagree with their posts. Just posted this on his post and removed him from the rolls.

Re: Chris Laskodi Redding Fire Update

lucfish wrote:Great news Bob. I can say there are 3 guides I know that were in the line of fire and for the most part their houses were saved.

Luc, was wondering about Dave Neal's home? The only other guide I know up there is Scott Saiki who said a couple of days ago that his home was ok.

Re: Yellowstone Bans Felt Wading Soles

:fireangry: It's a great idea having interchangable soles but.......... :booty: I'm with Bob. Korkers blow. I'll forever trash them to anyone who will listen. Mine are the KGB model which uses the latest Vibram sole. I did contact Korkers and they told me one year replacement for soles under warran...

Re: Yellowstone Bans Felt Wading Soles

I got less than a year on my Korkers until the retaining strap that secures the sole to the boot cracked and separated. Now they are useless. No more Korkers for me. :fireangry: It's a great idea having interchangable soles but.......... :booty: I'm with Bob. Korkers blow. I'll forever trash them t...

Re: Hmmmm...

He actually spoke at the Orange County Fly Fishing Club a year or more ago to promote his services. Wish I could have been there, but the wife had me reorganizing my socks drawer that night. Sad that he's still promoting his business in the face of truly impacted fish populations.
